Family Christmas Party

Saturday was a fuuuuuuulll day! Not only did we have Jentrys piano recital but we also went to a family christmas party in Centerfield. We went to Scotts uncles house. He died last year on December 23rd. We had the party at his house, with his wife and Scotts dads side of the family. It was so nice to see Dian. (Kelly's wife) we dont see her often enough and I love love love talking to her. She is so genuine and nice.

Santa Claus made an appearance. I hadnt told the kids and they were super excited to see him. Ok, not so much Chase...but Ty was very excited. He tried to run up to be the first one on his lap but someone made it before him. But he was the 2nd one. But when he got up there he just told Santa that he wanted presents. He couldnt remember what else he wanted.




Then Brinley got on and of course she didnt know what she wanted either. I guess there was no TV there that she could pause and say "MOMMMMMMMMM this is what I want!" Like she does to me everyday.



Chase didnt want to sit on his lap but he would go up and give him five or go up and look at him.




Jentry also was pretty shy sitting on the big mans lap.




And then Dian sat on his lap, and she had herself a list of things she wanted. A Wii, a cell phone, an ipod...it went on and on. Shes a crack up!



After the party we stopped by the cemetary to see Uncle Kellys stone. They had just got it in and Dian wanted us to make sure we stopped to see it. And Im glad we did. Its a beautiful stone!





We had a great, full day!! And the holidays are just barely upon us. We have lots more planned!!

Looks like its buzz cut time!

Just in time for winter. Ty decided to cut a big chunk out of his hair. He had come to me earlier in the day and told me he cut his hair but I looked over and didnt see anything out of the ordinary. So I just brushed it off.

Well sure enuff...the little stinker DID CUT HIS HAIR! And right in front. How did I not notice? And as you can also tell from the picture, he cut his shirt.

So I guess Aunt Jamie will be getting out the clippers and giving him a buzz! Its a good thing he is a boy.

First Piano Recital

Jentry has her first piano recital. She has been taking piano lessons since July. She is doing so good and loves it! She is excited every week when she gets to go. I decided to wait to put her into lessons until she asked. And sure enough, the minute Maddie and Shelbey (cousins) started taking them, she asked too! Her piano teacher had an opening so in she went.

I was so proud of her!! I was watching the other girls play that were in higher levels thinking... "Wow, one day, SHE will be playing like that!!" I cant wait!!!

I think I can officially say it!!!

Ty is potty trained!!!

He has RARELY (like once) had an accident and that was when he was sick. I still put diapers on him in the night because Im still paranoid he will ruin my nights sleep with an accident but he wakes up dry!

It is so so nice to have only ONE in diapers!!!

Anyone for buffalo steaks??

Scott and his dad went buffalo hunting this weekend. And as you can see, it wasnt just them that went...they had a whole HERD with them. They have been planning this hunt for many many many moons!! And finally the day came!! I love the picture up top cause you can see just how excited Scott was. LOL

I will now be eating buffalo for a long long long time!! And if anyone has themselves a buffalo craving...please, come over. I'll have some to spare.

Well Im sayin' it again.

Jentry and I both read all of the Twilight Books. She loooved them. I liked them. Ok, so I loved a few of them. The last one not as much...but still good.

Well of course, we have been waiting for the Twilight movie to come out. It comes out this Friday. We are all going to get together and have a girls night and go see Twilight.

Today Jentry came home from school with this.



Bethany had taken an invitation and flower to her school to invite her to Friday Night. I thought that was so nice of her. Jentry was so excited. Thanks Bethany!!!

Today I was doing Brinleys hair for school and she was looking at her outstretched hand.
I hear her say "I have a lot of stretch marks!"
I said, "You do? Do you even know what stretch marks are?"
To which she replied "Yeah! They are these blue lines in your hands!!"

Tonight I was helping her with her homework and I numbered her page for her. I put:

Halloween 2008

The kids have a parade at school every year. So I took the boys down to see it. I also took the boys down that I babysat. So that was a whole load of boys to load and unload out of the car, but we made it. I can never get good pics in the school...so this is what I got.




This is the first year that Jentry has actually stopped and posed for a pic. She is usually too embarassed. Maybe Im getting cooler!!!

Then we came home, ate lunch, and Amys boys went home. My parents came over and the girls got home from school. They were ready to go T or Ting right then. So was Grandma. We had to wait a few hours and I told them once they saw other kids out trick or treating we could go. Sure enuff at around five we saw one other little group. The kids and grandma were ready to go! But first we had to get a picture of all of them together. I told them to look at me and Ty told Shaylee to look up...so this is what we got.



And then they were off!!!

Me and mom took them up and down our street and then let Jentry and Brinley break off. We were holding them up. When we got back home Grandpa and Scott were ready to take them down the next street.


Mom and I sat on the poarch and handed out candy (ok, fruit snacks) Mom was so excited she'd run to the sidewalk to give it to the kids. I told the parents we were a drive thru service. No need to stop, just keep going.

I cant believe how nice the weather was!!! Usually the kids are ice cold when they get home and we end up with stuffy noses. But not this year. And because of daylight savings, it was light the whole time they were trick or treating. SO NICE!!!

Then we went to dinner at Sizzler and went and visited my grandma and grandpa Scott. We had a great night! Thanks mom and dad for coming and going trick or treating with us!!!

You would think it was ALREADY Chirstmas

The Toys R Us book of toys showed up this weekend and the kids went CRAZY over it. We get it every year and they dont really care. But this year...they were fighting over it...doing things I told them to do just so they could look at it. And by the end of it, the book was destroyed and I had to throw it away.

They didnt really pick out anything they wanted (ok I take that back, they wanted everything) but nothing specific. I guess we will just have to see what Santa brings.

It doesnt take much to make me happy

This is my indulgence. I love me some diet dr pepper. But what I love more is those times Scott drops in on his way back to work from the run and he brings me one. He knows just how I like it. With a squirt of the hard stuff....real dr. pepper. :) I love that boy.

Broadway?

The girls have enjoyed watching Anie (the musical) the last couple days. We've had the video for a long time but they've never wanted to watch it til now. The other day Brinley was watching it and I saw her down there doing all of the dance actions along with the movie. I thought it was so cute. But of course, when I go to try to take a sneaky picture, the flash goes off and ruins everything. So these are the best pictures I got of her.

Well thats been our life for the last 2 months. So I have lots of pics to share. This last weekend we went up again. I think its going to be our last weekend. This weekend Scott is going up, but Ive got stuff to do here...so I think we are packin' it up til next year. Here are some pictures from this last weekend.

Ty and I went on a little ride around camp and I just thought his smile in this picture was so so cute.



Then Scott Ty and I went up to the mine. I told those boys that I was going to take a picture of them and a bear was going to pop his head out of there. I was really waiting for it to happen. It was giving me the creeps.



Monkey See, Monkey Do. Ty and Chase on the trailor runnning back and forth. They are always copying what the other one is doing. Wether it be bad or good.



Dad was struck by Brinley. She was piling stuff on top of his head.

Work was HARD today!

Goodness, those boys are going to run me ragged!!! Today I was trying to make a pasta salad to take to lunch with Amy, Holly and Jacoy. Should be easy enough, right. Lisa called for our daily chat and those boys thought it would be a great time to get into EVERYTHING they could while mom couldnt just yell at them!!
So Im making the salad, having a good conversation with Lisa when I turn around. Ty has gotten out the eggs and given them to Chase. He is throwing them on the ground. He broke 4 in like a 2 second time span. So Im still on the phone, scrubbing the floor when I turn around and Chase has all the tortilla chips throwing them on the floor. Once again, thanks to Ty. So I throw the bag on the counter, run to get the vacuum. Come back, and they have the flour and sugar buckets out. Luckily I caught them before they got those open but BOY...those boys were relentless!!! EVERYWHERE!!

So if anyone ever asks me if I work. Why yes I do, I had worked up a sweat. Running back and forth. All with the phone in my ear. Just like a "real" job, right?

Anyway, then we went to lunch, played, ate, talked. Came home, put them to bed. And everything is A-OK now. Life is once again...GOOD.

Happy Birthday Melissa!!!

I just wanted to tell my sister in law, Missy, HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY!!! She is a great SIL and babysits for me all the time without complaining!! I know everytime she gets a text from me saying "Hey, what are ya doing tonight" She cringes but she still comes and watches my four little hoodlums anyway!!
So happy birthday Melissa!! Hope you had a great day. And to all those guys out there...shes single... But you have to pass my test to date her. ;-) (and the test of her SIX other sisters and THREE other brothers)

Pumpkin Patch

On Monday we went to the pumpkin patch with all of the family. The kids loved it. They got to see all of their cousins AND got to dress up! What could be better? It has a corn maze and then some little jumpy things they can jump on and then a play ground. We do this every year and every year the kids look SO forward to it.

Lulla-bye...

The boys were having a hard time going to sleep last night which is very unusal for them. I usually just put them in their cribs with their water cups and they talk to eachother for awhile and then they fall asleep. So easy.

Well not last night. They were not having it. So after much screaming I decided to go in their room and rock Chase. The one who was screaming the most. I get him out and he cuddles right up to me and starts to fall asleep. So I decide to sing a lullabye.

But OBVIOUSLY Mr Ty thought I chose the wrong song. What 'lulla-byes' does he want?

My dad wanted me to load some pics on to my computer and post some to the family site and I found some cute ones. So I thought Id share. The one of Shaylee passed out on the back of the wheeler made me laugh out loud. Theres some of Brinleys grandma and grandpa program. And one with her teacher.

States Fair.

ANOTHER FIFTH GRADE PROJECT..... beware out there..those who have not been through 5th grade yet. The homework is CRAZY!!! This is Jentry's..lets see, about 5th project since school has started. And this one was a biggie. Everyone had to have a state and do a project on it. She had South Dakota. There were state symbols, maps, flags, brochures, 3d maps (we made a cake flagging all the 69 counties), fake letters to friends after visiting that state. Gosh, theres more then that...but I cant remember.
Anyway, they had them on display this last Friday. I took the boys, and the two boys I babysat to go check out the display. I cant believe some of the other kids' displays. WOW!! I was impressed. I was also impressed with Jentry. She had a mandatory 600 pts to get. And then 1000 if you wanted an A. She ended up with 1650. Way to go Jentry!!!

Sorry for not posting all that often. But we are just doing the usual everyday. Which is fine by me!!

Thats our day. Sometimes we throw in a lunch out, piano lessons, grocery shopping or my favorite...a night out without the kiddos!!!
