Yuba Take One...

My parents went to Yuba for the week. They also took Jentry and Brinley. I knew Brinley wouldnt last long...but Jentry, shes a die hard. I knew she wouldnt be coming home unless she absolutely had to. She ended up staying the whole week. That was a long time without her. I had to do everything myself and learned just how much she really does help out. She was VERY missed.

I do have to say that they took good care of her. She didnt even have a sunburn. Tho she is rubbed raw from the tube. I guess my constant reminder of sunscreen worked. :)

I decided that Id go down there on Tuesday. I knew Wednesday there was supposed to be a storm so Tuesday we should be ok, right? Wrong. It was sooooooooo windy that day. There was really nothing to do but sit on the shores. It was too windy to ride the boat. And well, wind is just not any fun. So we ended up leaving early.

My SIL Bethany came with me. She is very afraid of water. This was her first time out on a wave runner. While she was out there Brady was taking her around. She thought he was doing a good job. Therefore, she thought he had been doing this for awhile. Imagine her suprise when he said he'd been riding for only two days. That cut her trip short on the wave runner and she told him to take her back to shore. I was suprised she had even gotten on with him.




Chase loooved the water and the sand even more. Even tho it was a little cold, that didnt bother him one bit.

Kindergarten Baby.... not anymore....

Brinley graduated from Kindergarten this last Thursday. She was so excited. They did a little program with songs they had learned. Grandpa and Grandma were able to come down and see her! She wanted to be all dressed up and have her hair done pretty so we curled her all up.

Her teacher was Miss Mellor. She was such a fun teacher!! Brinley is already missing her

I dont know how I feel about this. Kindergarten is such a fun age. They are so dang cute. Now shes a real school girl. Full days from here on out. Im going to miss her. Im going to miss just getting to have time with her in the morning to do homework. Now its going to have to be crammed in with Jentrys in the night. Theres not much time left before Ty will be in kindergarten and then BAM Chase will be the next year. And then what...

Memorial Day

We had a great day. Even tho it rained. Which, I guess, is fitting. So many people crying for their loved ones... the heavens should cry too. We went and visited the graves in the Provo Cemetary. We didnt make it to my cousins in American Fork. It did quit raining when we got there. So that was nice.

We stopped by Andrew Hunter Scott's grave. This is the ancestor that Jentry did the wax museum on. She wanted to see it.




Then we stopped by Scotts grandma and grandpa's grave. This is the first memorial day that we visited grandma. :-( Very sad. But we know she is so happy to be with grandpa again, to be able to walk and not to hurt anymore. So its alright. Tho I miss her terribly. I miss getting to go to Scotts parents and just sit there and talk to her. She had so many intresting stories. Im grateful that the last few months I was able to talk to her so much and get to learn so much about her. She was a pretty cool chick. I wish I would have gotten to know Grandpa Hendricksen. I hear he wasnt too shabby either!

Bethany's Graduation...

Bethany graduated from highschool this last Thursday (a few weeks AFTER she graduated from College). She is such a smarty pants. She went to an alternative (I dont know if thats what you would all it) We call it nerd-cas. Its really UCAS (Utah County Acadamy of Sciences) Its for all of those smart people. Something I will never be. And shes cute too. Brains and Beauty....lucky duck!!!

Chase was as loud as he could be there. So most of the service I spent walking around with him or walking outside. But it made for some good picture time. This is one that I got of him that I think is so cute. he is always making this face

Ive already decided once Jentry gets into 5th grade she is going to be beyond me in academics...Im going to have to have Bethany come over and tutor both of us!!

Wax Museum

The 4th grade wax museum was today. They were supposed to pick someone who has influenced Utah in somehow. Jentry chose Andrew Hunter Scott. He is my (I think) 6th great grandpa. He came over here with the pioneers. He was Provo's 5th mayor.

She did suuuuuuuch a great job on it. There was a fake little button that you would push and then they had to do a 2 minute schpiel on who they were. Last night Jentry did not have hers memorized. But Mr. C. said it was ok for them to cheat off of their paper.

When I got there and pushed her button...she had the whole thing memorized. Dates and all. She did great. And it was so cute going around to all the little kids and getting to see what they said. One girl was Marie Osmond, lots were Jedediah Smith, alot of them were mormon pioneers. It was just funny to see who each kid picked. It was a very cute thing for them to put on!!!

Family Home Evening

Most of you know what this is...but for those that don't....

In our chruch they have asked that we set aside one night (preferbly Monday) for just families. To do some activity or to learn some lesson. It gives you time to just be with your family. At the ages the kids are now...thats not hard. They are ALWAYS here. But as they get older and schedules start to become more hectic then they already are...it will be nice that for one night...we are just us...just a family.

For FHE this week we went to Salem Ponds to feed the ducks. We got subway on the way there...had a little picnic. And TRIED to feed the ducks. Lesson one was learned:
~Never go to feed the ducks on a night that every other family has come to feed the ducks. They wont eat it. BUT THE FISH WILL. There were some giant carps in there that would jump up and eat the bread. So that was pretty cool.




The kids had a great time. They loved playing at the park and feeding the fish. Chase loved getting to roam free

I loved it cause I didnt have to make dinner ;-)

Gone Fishin'

So we got a note home that the city was putting a fishing class on. It was like $10 to sign up...so why not??? It lasted 6 weeks. 3 of the weeks were at the pond by our house and 2 were up at the reservoir which is also just a hop skip and a jump away and then one back down at the pond for a fish fry! Jentry did NOT want to sign up. But tough, I signed her up anyway. It was every Thursday for two hours...and OF COURSE every dang Thursday has been COOOOOLD!!! The kiddos have had to bundle up to survive. But not last night...last night was beautiful!

Jentry "caught" on real quick and soon was catching way more fish then anyone in the class.


Brinley would fish for 5 minutes and then start running around and playing...come back to her pole if she had to and then leave to run around again.

Yesterday was their last class so it was the big fish fry. We got there at 6 and they all fished until 7:15. Brinley was catching fish left and right! Jentry caught a couple. Which was a big turn around from before. Brinley even caught a huge one. She was so proud. She took it everywhere with her until they came to pick it up for the fish fry. I was surprised she would even touch it. Let alone carry it with her everywhere. She was very proud of it.




Chase and Ty just played around the whole time. Ty loved being able to run up and down the hills.


Chase hated the grass!!



But I think they both had a fun time last night too.


One of the kids in their class even caught an Albino fish. Scott said hes seen them before, but I never remember seeing one. Weird...


Of course when it came to the fish fry, none of my kids would eat a fish...they had hot dogs instead.




Anyway, the kids ended up loving every minute of fishing class and on our way home last night Jentry said... "Can we do this again next year?"

I think that would be alright!

Cedar or Bust

I decided to take the kiddos on a trip to Cedar City for the weekend since we werent able to go to Arizona this go around. Scotts grandma lives there and the girls are always begging me to go there...so I gave in. We rented a hotel this time because I didnt know how the boys would do sleeping in a new place and I didnt want to keep his grandma up with crying babies. Also I thought it would be a fun treat for the girls. Imagine my supirse when the boys both slept through the night. Missy (scotts sister) asked if she could go with us too! Of course!!! She had a few college friends (boys :-)) that she wanted to see in Cedar so it was a fun trip for her too, I hope!


















We are going back for the 4th of July (hopefully) Im excited.

Grandpa Scott turned 80!!

We had a suprise party for Grandpa Scott. I dont know how I feel about suprising an 80 year old...but he didnt have a heart attack or anything so all is good. He still has a lotta spunk left in him. Now if he would only go get a hearing aid...

Officer Scott....the third

Well Todd graduated from the academy. He is now an offical officer for the State of Utah Corrections. WAY TO GO 'LITTLE' BROTHER!!! Now there are three Officer Scotts (mom dad todd) working at the prison. Heaven help them. ;)

"Why Mom, why?"

This is Ty's new thing to say to EVERYTHING!!! I hear this at least 100,000 times a day. And I dont even think he knows what it means.

Ill say "go pick up your toys."

"Why Mom, why? "

"Cause they are all over"

"Why mom, why?"

"Cause you made a mess with them"

"Why mom, why?"

and on and on.

Today he got the RED finger nail polish out. Why we have red finger nail polish I dont know. Im not ever going to paint my nails RED.

And painted his face with it. Along with dribbeling it on the couch and floor. I coulda beat the boy. So as Im frantically trying to get it out of the couch and floor I said,

"GO SIT ON THE STAIRS!"

He goes and sits on the stairs and I look over at him with the carpet cleaner blaring and I can see his little lips mouthing (cause I cant hear him over the cleaner) "Why mom, why?" And he does it in such a cute little innocent voice.

I know kids say "WHY" all the time but I think Ty is taking it to a new level.

My Boo is SIX

Where'd that baby go???

Brinley turned six yesterday. Hard to believe. Thats like...olllld. You say your kid is five and that sounds like a cute young age... say shes six...thats like old!
She had a great day! Loved every minute of it. She woke up to a pile of presents on her bed. She was so excited. She got to bring donuts to school. We had a party with Scotts side of the family and tonight we are having dinner at our house with my mom and dad and my cousins family.

I cant believe she is six. I cant believe I have a six year old!! That girl has given me a run for my money...but shes been worth it. Shes taught me patience. Boy oh boy has she taught me that.

I remember holding her for the first time when we got home from the hospital and thinking to myself "Shes so perfect...she makes me want to have 10 more" Then she turned 2...and I quit thinking that.

But all in all I love that girl!

Whoa, where has the time gone?

My heck summer is almost here again...and my last post was about it leaving!! Life has been busy! Seems like Im either driving someone to school, picking them up or in between it. Not much has happened...just the usual.

Jentry turned 10! I cant believe I have a kid that is a decade old!!! Seems like weve had her forever....but shes still supposed to be our baby!! She is reading on an 11th grade reading level. Thats higher then me. Shes doing very well in school. Im so glad I dont have to worry about her...

Then theres Brinley. She could take school or leave it. She tries to negotiate school with me. "Mom, how about I go to school today, but not tomorrow and then go the next day. Like a patt-er-ren" or "I think Ill just stay home with the dogs today" Shes gonna be my trouble. But I already knew that. She is turning SIX on Monday. Wow.

Ty turned TWO!! His new favorite phrase is "NO WAY" When you ask him how old he is he says "Ty" He hasnt quite figured that out yet. But when you say "Are you two?" He will say
"YAH!" and hold up ten fingers.

Chase is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig boy! I think hes gonna be like my dads side of the family. I took him to the doc the other day and hes 21lbs. Ty is only 25 lbs. He can walk around furniture. He is a very smiley boy and I just love my Awza!

Well Im dead tired...so Ill have to think of more to type later...just wanted to give a little update.

Summer is OVER...

Dang it! I love summer. I love the kids being home from school. I love that we can go around barefoot and I dont have to go searching for socks everyday. I love that the kids play outside all day long.



But then, I do love fall. And I do love that it starts to cool down and things start getting into a routine again.



Heres a few things that have happened since the last time I updated.



So we started going swimming every Friday with Mandy, McKayden and Presley. Scott would usually stay home with the boys and I would take the girls and we would go for a couple hours. Then Jentry got sick and on the news that night I hear about a bug in Utah County swimming pools that is making everyone sick. Its a crypto....something or other bug. Jentry is up in the nights with baaaaaad stomach cramps and crying all night. Neither of us are sleeping. So I call the on call doctor because its a weekend. Tell him I think it MIGHT be this bug. He says it very well could be but there is nothing they do for that bug so we just treat the symptoms... make sure he is hydrated. She has this stupid thing for 10 days. Got better on the first day of school. Thank goodness, I think it would have killed her off to miss the first day of school. She still wasnt herself for about another week...like she wouldnt eat as much as she did before and she still complained of stomach aches before she would go to bed. Poor kiddo.



Brinley started kindergarten and OH WHAT FUN!!! She looooves it! She is excited everyday to go and I can use it to threaten her... "If you dont get up to your room and clean it...you arent going to school." We will see how long that can last.

Well I would update more but gotta run Jentry to the dentist. $$$$ :-(

I do have a sweet husband.

He just brought me home a half a dozen roses and Premonition because he knows I wanna see it. Oh yeah and a note that says I love you ... L. Scott Hendricksen. Incase I forget which Scott gave them to me.

Had an Awesome Family Day!!!

Scott usually gets off early on Fridays. So last Friday I decided we would all go swimming. I didnt know how the boys would do but I thought if anything else I can just sit on the grass with them while Scott swam with the girls. But to my suprise everyone did FABULOUS!!! I think Scott went down the waterslides with the girls 50 times and even Ty did the water slides. He loved every minute of swimming. He had a little tube around him and he would jump, go under, and come back up laughing and laughing. So cute. Chase stayed in the water the whole time with me. I went down the waterslides with the girls a few times. It was just a perfect day. No one cried, fought or killed eachother. Im hoping to do it again. Scott was excited because it only cost $12 for the whole family to do an activity. LOL

Its been awhile

Well I have five seconds so I thought Id do a little update....

Lets see last we talked I had had Chase...but thats about as far as Ive gotten.

Well hes been my hardest baby yet. Whenever he was awake he was crying. Never took a binki so Id always be stuffing bottles in his mouth to hope for a little peace. We took him to the doc who sent us to the hospital...heres a copy and paste from the boards cause I dont feel like typing it out again

Ok so we went this morning for the testing for Chase. Dropped Brinley and Ty off at SIL's. Spend 1 hour in the waiting room. Finally get back to the x-ray room. They tell me to undress him all the way..even diaper. They put the enema up his butt and tape it in there. He did not like that! Who would!? Doc comes in and Scott and I go behind the glass with him while hes doing the x-ray and the tech lady stays up with Chase and pushes Barium (white chalky wet stuff) up his butt. Oh he did not like that!! Poor thing. We watch on the screen as it goes through his intestine. Scott keeps asking the doc..."ok so where does the large intestine and the small intestine meet?" because thats where this thing happens. He shows us on the x-ray but he still hadnt made it all the way up there with the barium yet. Chase pushes all of the stuff out everywhere so then the tech has to clean him up and start all over. Barium was everywhere. Ok so we start again...see the barium go about half way up the intestine but still not to that point. And the doc is like..ok everything is looking good. (Both Scott and I are thinking...how in the heck do you know? YOu arent even up to that point yet) So hes acting like hes done with the test. Goes out to the baby. Nurse is taking out the enema... The doc said...well we dont see any bleeding polups. Ok thats nice and all, but thats not what we are here for. Scott asks if they checked for the intususeption. He says No, I didnt go up that far. We werent checking for that. Thats not in the doctors orders. Scott tells him that thats the whole reason we are here. Scott tells him to call the doc. The guy says that the tech lady will do that... and basically he was done with what he was supposed to do. Sooooooooooo we get Chase all cleaned up...that stuff dries like cement. Its all over him. In his hair, everywhere. Cause he kept trying to push it out all over the table. So the tech lady calls the doc and he says yes...they are supposed to be looking for an intususeption. Tells her I guess to schedule and U/S. So then she calls the US place and they say oh we are so busy today ask them if they can schedule it for another day. She asks us...Im annoyed...I say well if thats what we have to do...what else can we do? Scott tells her that that would be fine if this wasnt a big deal...but its kinda a big deal here...She gets back on the phone with them and comes back and tells us...well they will try and squeeze you in at 2. But you might end up waiting for awhile in the waiting room since they are soooooooo busy. I dont care. I just want to get this taken care of. So we tell them we will be back at two. Go pick up Ty at SIL's. Leave Brinley there to play. Go back up to MIL/FIL's where Scott works and he works for another hour. Leave Ty there...go back down the hospital. We get down to the waiting room. Theres one other lady there having an MRI. But no one for U/S... I guess thats what they call busy. So we get back to the U/S room and the tech tells us that Doc...aww crap...starts with a W... will be the doc that helps us....ends up being the same doc that did the enema thing. Which actually is a good thing since he knows why we are there now. And we dont have to re-explain anything. So the tech does the one US...Chase is screaming through the whole entire thing. Freaking out, turning purple. He hated it. Wiggeling so much that the tech couldnt really get good pics. But hes trying. Scott goes out to the car and gets him a bottle. I thought for sure they were going to say that he couldnt eat during the U/S. But the guy said to get him fed and see if that calmed him down and the doc would be right in. The doc comes in while Im feeding him and has me hold him while hes doing the U/S. He's looking...talking to the tech guy some language I dont know (medical language). I didnt know what the crap he was saying. But it didnt sound good. I kept looking at Scott. Mouthing "Do you know what they are saying?" He doesnt. Then the doc says something about how he sees something but cant make it look like a donut and thats what its supposed to look like. Hes trying to tell the tech what intususeption looks like. Says "Usually when its intususeption you put the scope down right where it should be and its right there" (hes doing this as hes saying it..) and bam...there it is. A donut. So... he does have it. But he has a case called Transient Intususeption. Where its not there all the time. It comes and it goes. And its not right where the small intestine meets the large (which is the bad kind) its small intestine to small intestine... like a telescope when you close it. Does that make sense? So it comes and it goes and it hurts. But its not life threatening. HE says that something is irritating it. But he doesnt know what (could be infection or the formula we are using ... which it could be but Ive tried two kinds cause I thought it might be a sensitivity to that) Says that we will have to follow up with our doctor to see what to do...his job was just to find it. . But says its good cause if it was the other kind they would have admitted us to the hospital right there. So anyway, I hope this makes sense. Im so tired I cant even think. ITs been a long day!

Ok so after that he still wasnt better. The doc gave me some drops for colic and those worked sometimes but not enuff to were I felt like my sanity was back.

And then he turned three months...

AND BAM!!! PERFECT BABY!!! So cute, so fat, and he just sits there patiently for us most of the time unless hes hungry or poopy. I always loved the kid but now I really do like him!!!

Update on the other kids...

Ty is FINALLY walking. He started walking at 17 months. GOOD GRIEF!! And now hes everywhere and starting to get into his terrible twos. Hes such a turd. Hes pretty good with Chase but he does like to poke him and hug (lay on) him. Which Chase doesnt like at all. Yesterday he poked his finger all the way into his eye TWO TIMES and Chase just sat there like this is a normal thing to get your eye poked out.

Brinley is very excited for school to start. She asks me all the time when we are going to go get school clothes. She knows how to ride her bike (without training wheels) like a mad woman. She IS going to kill herself on it. I just know it. Im going to be sad when she goes to school. Shes my little buddy.

Jentry got a new bike and is totally in love with it. Its all she wants to do. She had to save up Fifty of her own dollars and then we paid the rest . Well she DID IT after a few months and got to go pick out a sky blue bike. She is such a big help and I think Id go crazy without her. I look at her now and I get little glimpses of her being a teenager. It scares me but it also excites me. Im sad that she is growing up so quickly but she is such a good kid and I just love her to death.

Scott and I are doing great! We celebrated our TEN year anniversary in May. Wow. I cant believe its been that long but then again I cant remember life without him! I love that boy.

Chase's Birthstory

Wow. Ok let me think of where to start...Sunday night I was taking a bath trying to get labor to start. I could get the contractions to come every 7 minutes for an hour but then they would stop. So I knew I could get them going I just couldnt get them to last. Thought about maybe trying that again and then just going in to the hospital and seeing if they would keep me but then decided Id just wait until Monday morning and go to my appt since I had Brinleys appt that day too. So we went to Mondays appt. 3.5 cm. 80% effaced. Doctor Stripped my membranes and told me not to wait if contractions started cause Ty came pretty fast. So I came home. And decided to go on the run with Scott (pick up from the doctors). Went on the run and when we got home I was having some contractions but nothing more then I usually had. But we decided while he was at work Id try to get labor to start and when he got home we'd just go in. I was having more contractions while he was at work but I didnt end up doing anything while he was gone. I went to my neighbors house from about 4-5 to chat. Scott got home while I was gone there. So I came home... I said to my mom "So...what ya doing tonight? She said, "Nothing, why? Do you want to bring the kids up?" Thinking that maybe we just wanted to go out to dinner for Scotts birthday. I said "No, I think we will go to the hospital tonight...do you want to come down?" She got all excited and her voice started shaking. She said "Are you serious? Ok we are on our way Bye" Scott called his little sister to come down and watch the kids while my parents came down. We thought we'd be gone before they got here. I went up and took a quick shower and by the time I got everything situated and the kids packed my parents were here. My dad must have actually gone the speed limit. So Scotts sister went home and off we went...So we get to the hospital at about 7 p.m. They get me in a room and the nurse comes in to hook me up. It was actually a girl that I used to work with when I was a teenager. That was weird. It was good to see her tho. She told me she wasnt going to be my nurse but shed get me all hooked up and my nurse would come in later (she was on her way in to work) So she gets me all hooked up. And leaves. I started on that labor stimulation thing again because I didnt want my contractions to stop and them to send me home. So everytime the nurses left Id start it again and my contractions would always pick up. They came in and checked me every hour .. I went from 3.5 to 4.5 to 5 to a 6. And I stayed at a six for awhile. My doc didnt want me to have the epi yet because he said it might slow down labor and if I could just get over that "hump" then wed get the epi. He came in and checked me and said ok Im just going to break your water and then you can get your epi. I told him, no you arent! Im getting the epidural first! I know how this goes... Hed break it and I just knew there wouldnt be time to get the epi before the baby was born. And I wasnt going to do that. ...*Or so I thought* So they call the epi man in. He gives me the epi dural. And then hooks up one of those things where you can push the button if you need more epi. I felt my feet get warm and the bottom of my legs...so good...epis working... contractions should get better. Doctor breaks water. Clear Fluid. All's ok. Ok...have a contraction...ok it sure is going to be nice when this epi kicks in...dont wanna feel another one of those...hey Scott...push that button... oh...hmmm theres another contraction...ok that still hurt... man...sure is going to be nice when this epi kicks in all the way. Hey Scott...has it been 14 minutes yet? Push that button...hmmm hasnt been 14 minutes huh? Man... Hey nurse lady (that I dont like) I dont think this epi is working like it should...I can still feel them. She tells me well its not going to make you all the way numb, you are still going to feel something. We want you to be able to feel a little bit so that you can push. Im thinking...ok I know that. This isnt my first kid. I know what Im supposed to feel like... Im supposed to feel the pressure but not the pain... ouch..ok theres another contraction...hey Scott...push that button. beep beep beep...the epi beeps. Says something about High pressure. Nurse calls the epi man and he tells her its probably just a positional thing and hes sure its working...must have just kinked it or something to make it beep. Noooo worries. Still feeling the contractions. Wow. theres my feet. I can feel them again. Keep telling Scott to push that button as often as he can. I dont wanna feel this birth!!! The nurse tells the doctor... Hmm I wonder if that epidural is not working...Ive never had a patient want to push that button so much. Ill call epi man in. So she calls him. About a half an hour later he rolls in. He'd been in the OR with some lady having twins. Nice...but I dont really give a crap. He checks the epidural. Decides it must have came out of the "epidural spot" Im like laying on my side yelling... a little... This hurts this hurts this hurts...oh gosh Scott...this hurts. He decides hes going to do another epirural. Takes all the crap out of my back and has me sit up. BAM Contraction!! Nurse tells epi man... I dont know why you are putting in another epidural. Its not going to help her. Shes going to have that baby before it works. Hes putting the other epi in and Im screaming. He gets it in and tells me ok you can lay down. I say No I cant. Wait just a minute...when this one ends I'll lay down. I hear the nurse tell someone.. I think she is transitioning. Im thinking no shit sherlock. Im screaming. I have my eyes closed and I cant open them. That is the worst pain I have ever felt in my entire life. Somehow Im laying down and I have my face burried in the rail of the bed screaming. Telling them I can do this and it hurts too bad. All the sudden the babies heart rate went to 50. They are telling me to turn to my side. Im thinking..crap, turn to your side Leslie. As Im screaming NOOOOOO DONT MAKE ME TURN!! DONT TOUCH ME! IM NOT GOING TO TURN! LEAVE ME ALONE!!! I can rationally think in my head..I need to turn theres something wrong! But Im still screaming No! They are flipping me over one side to the other. They throw my legs up into the stirrups and tell me not to push. But the head is right there. Im not pushing but Im screaming. I was grabbing the nurses leg that was on the side of me... Yelling... "SCOTT WHERE ARE YOU!!!" I still couldnt open my eyes. I felt him grab my hand and I just kept screaming THIS HURTS I CANT DO IT I CANT DO IT! He doesnt say a word. All the nurses are telling me...oh you can you can do this. Doctors down there and tells me to push. Scott tells me to hang on to my leg. I push and they say...ok if you wanna see your baby come out look now. And out he came. One push. Sweeeeeeet relief! Chase Brad Hendricksen was born on 3-20-2007 at 1:26 a.m. 7 lbs 5 oz 19.5 inches.Doctors holding him kinda shaking him back and forth being real calm...but he cuts the cord. Still shaking him back and forth. Rubbing him. Holds him up and tells Scott to take a picture. Shows him to me and I say..oh...Hes blue. The doctor gives him to the nurses and I notice that there are a lot more nurses in the room then at first. Theres four over him on the bed. Hes not really breathing. He will breathe a little and then grunt. They check him out for a few minutes while I deliver the placenta and the doc stitches me up (little tear, one stitch). They say they are going to have to take him to the NICU because hes grunting and not getting enuff air. The one nurse wraps him up and brings him over to me for a minute. Doesnt let me hold him but lets me look at him. The first thing I notice is how big his hands are. I was trying to look at them cause he only had a few fingers poking out of the blanket but she has to take him. Im thinking ok, hes fine.. just cant breathe...he'll be good in a minute. Scott goes up to the NICU with him. I guess I kinda down played it in my head cause Scott took some video of how he was breathing and when I watched it, I just about puked.. Scared me. Buy now...my Epi is working GREAT! I hear the nurse tell the doctor something about it taking 7 minutes. Im not for sure what she was talking about but I think thats how long he was in the birth canal??? transition??? I for sure. Nurse gets me cleaned up even tho there isnt much to clean. She says wow, you didnt really even lose any blood. Thats weird. Gets me into the other bed. And we start on our way down to the NICU. We are going to swing by there and check out the baby before I go to the mother/baby unit. We almost get there and the nurse says oh...they are bringing him down... Im thinking oh good!! So we turn back around and go down to the mother/baby unit. He actually had to stay in the NICU for about 2 hours. They didnt bring him into my room until like 4 am. They could never figure out a for sure reason why he couldnt breathe when he came out. Said sometimes that just happens. They also went to take some blood from him and had a hard time because they said his blood was really thick. So they gave him an IV in his hand and flushed some fluid through him. His hands and feet were purple but that pinked them right up. He wheezed/squeeked/grunted for the first couple of hours after they brought him to me but he's good now. Little jaundiced...have to take him back on the 23rd to check that again.

My Sewer Plant

So the girls bought me a plant to bring to me at the hospital. On their way down to the hospital they passed a sewer plant...
Brinley "What is that smell?!"
My Dad "Its the sewer plant."
Brinley "I knew we shouldnt have bought her this plant!"

Ive been laughing about that little comment for days. I can just see her saying it.

My "sewer plant" proudly sits in the window now.

Update this week...

1.5-2 cm dialated 40% effaced. Never going to have this baby.

Baby Update

Went to the docs last Friday. I was one cm. I know how this usually goes...one cm a week and I still go over.. So not hoping for much on my next appt on Monday.
