Schooools Out For Summer!!!

...and boy have we been enjoying it.

I always count the 4th of July as the half way point for summer. It is quickly approaching us. It makes me feel pretty sad. Hopefully we can make the best out of what we have left!!!

Our adventures won't be in order of how they happened...but that's OK.

We took a trip to the Kangaroo Zoo. That is a place where they have lots of bouncy houses and bouncy slides for the kids to play on. All the kids loved it! And I loved the price. After the kids get so many deposit cards filled up at the credit union they get to pick prizes. We got 3 free passes to the zoo about a year ago and FINALLY we used them! So for all four kids to get in...it was only about $8. WOOT WOOT!!! We met my sister, cousin and one of our friends there. So there were lots of kids to play with and lots of fun to be had!!
(and of course I keep forgetting to bring my camera places so I have to steal pictures from other people)





We also went to the Strawberry Days Rodeo. The boys thought they needed cowboy boots to go. But after I looked at the price of those (over 35.00) they had to settle for a $5 Walmart hat.
My brother was in the cow milking part for the 2nd year in a row. But right when their cow got out of the cage their rope broke and there was no way for them to wrangle that cow. Next year, Boys!






We took our annual trip to Yuba. The boys and I went down for 2 seperate day trips. And of course, we picked the windy days to go. But the girls had a good time with my parents for the few days that they got to stay down there. We are looking for a good place to go (less windy, less sandy) next year so if anyone has any suggestions...let me know! Sorry for the picture overload...but I have some cute kids...and I gotta show em off a little...
This is the first time the boys have gotten to ride in the "motorboat" (thats what they called it) They loved it. They even got out and swam. When I would put the girls in the lake at this age they would cry and cry because it was "too cold!!" The boys had no problem.













We then went last weekend to Scotts cousins wedding in Vernal. It was awesome to see the Vernal temple. It is much different then Im used to. It isnt huge and I think it was converted from an old tabernacle. It was a beautiful wedding!! The kids didnt like the drive much (3+ hours) but we all survived and Im very glad we went!!






After the ceremony we took the kids to the Dinosaur Museum. Vernal is "famous" (if thats what you would call it) for having lots of dinosaur bones found in and around the city.







....and I said we weren't going to do anything this summer.....

Brinleyism

ME (to Brinley): Nate can sleep over tonight but you still have to go to tutoring tomorrow.

TY: Whats tutoring?

Brinley: It's where you go and they teach you stuff you already know.


Maybe it was a had to be there moment but I thought it was funny.

Fathers and Sons...

I ain't gonna lie.....

I don't know who was more excited about the Fathers and Sons...me or the boys.

At first I didn't want them to go. It wasn't going to be good weather and I didn't want them freezing. But the more I thought about it... I know Scott is way more protective then I am with these boys so why should I worry??

As I was getting them all packed up during the day they were SO EXCITED!!! I kept teasing with them asking them why I couldn't go. Chase would tell me "Keecause you are a gill and gills cant go!" (Translation, "because you are a girl and girls cant go"

When they FINALLY got out of dodge the girls and I went out to dinner at the Pizza Pie Cafe and to the movies to see the Lightening Thief" We also took one of Jentrys friends with us. We had a great Girls Night Out!!!

The boys were back by 9 am. Muddy as could be. But they had a good time! We all can't wait for next year....

It's A-ok being three!!!

I love how Chase does "three". I just wanted to document this before he starts doing it the normal way. He did just figure out that he is only three and not four like Ty.

Hill AFB

We have wanted to take the kids to Hill Air Force Base for a long time but its not exactly close so we haven't. Scotts sister lives in Layton so when we went up there for Abby's baptism we stopped by. The kids absolutely loved it. We didn't get to stay super long because we came about an hour before they were closing but we got to see everything we wanted.

The boys favorite part was getting to dress up like pilots. They looked so so cute in their little uniforms.

May 17, 1997-13 years ago....

We got hitched!!! Scott was 19 and I was 17.

I have loved every single minute of being married to my best friend. I hate to say it (because I know Ill jinx us) but I feel like our marriage has been easy!! No bumps in the road. No hard times. Just pure bliss. (ok, you can all stop gagging now). I wonder if Scott would describe it the same way?

Happy 30th birthday to me!

I know these are all a little out of order but I wanted to get them in anyway. On April 12th I celebrated my 30th *GASP* Birthday! I never thought I'd get this old. I remember when we first moved into our house my visiting teachers came over and we were all talking about age. They were talking about how they were 30 and I thought...aww man, that is SO FAR off for me! (I was 21).

Now here we are. And yes, I'm now officially old. I really enjoyed being 29. I thought it was a great age. Every older person always jokes that they are 29, right?

And its too bad that I didn't blog about this sooner... because I can barely remember what I did that day.... its old age.

I know I went to the Living Planet Aquarium with my sister and cousin. We took the boys and they loved it! We then went to Carls Jr and ate and talked a good two hours. I bet places love it when people stay that long...NOT! All I really wanted to do on my birthday was TAKE A NAP. But no one believed me. I was dead serious. And no, I didnt get my nap! Maybe next year.

I came home and my parents came over. I got some great gifts. One of them being .... a... BUFFALO HEAD. Oh yeah, so excited. I could barely contain the tears of... joy? Is that what you would call them? Well, I don't call them that. Scott was excited tho. And it wasn't actually my present. It just happened to be the day they got it back from the taxidermist. Lucky lucky me. But it does make the boys in this house pretty happy.



My parents took the whole family to Tepanyaki. They had to take out a small loan, Im sure.

All through dinner Chase kept gagging like he was going to throw up and in my head all I could think about was him projectile vomiting all over the grill. So I kept running him to the bathroom. He wouldnt puke. So I would take him back and he'd start all over again. So Id run him back into the bathroom. I spent most of my time in the bathroom with him.






We then took the kids to Baskin Robins for the 1st time to get ice cream. Or course, they loved it!!



It was late by then and we came home where Chase proceeded to puke the rest of the night.

We really know how to party 'round here!

Baby Jack!!!

Ben and Nicole welcomed little Benjamin Jack into their family on April 14, 2010! We are all so excited for this little cutie to join our family!! You forget just how little they come!!!

Good job Ben and Nicole! He's scrumptious!

Daily Fight

I have a daily fight with my boys.

We fight about if they can "grow bigger" or not.

I say NO!!! They say yes. They love love love to rub it in everytime they eat all of their dinner that they are "growing bigger!"

I tell them Im not making them dinner anymore.

Somebody is winning this fight....

And it isn't me.
