Swimming Lessons

Ty was so excited this year that he would get to do swimming lessons!!! The kids have always loved going to swimming lessons and they are little fish!!! I love that I don't have to worry (too much) when they are in the pool. Jentry actually did diving lessons this year instead of swimming. She said it was tough work getting in and out of the pool for the whole lessons...but she did pretty good!!! I'm sad I didn't get video of Brinley jumping off the diving board. She only did it once and that was good enough for her. She wasn't scared...she just didn't care to do it again.

Cousin Camp

This was one of the highlights of summer....for me at least. I dont think the kids or Scott would say the same...but I had a great time!! My cousins that I grew up with decided to take a little trip up to Park City and stay in a condo and just have a Girls Night. It was AWESOME!!! I love love loved it and I hope we do it every year. It was so fun just to get together with them and talk, eat, gossip (oh we would never do that...) and do some things I NEVER in my life would have done with out the peer pressure. We started the night out in Lehi and went to Panda Express for dinner. YUMM-O. Then off to get gas. For some odd reason this took A LONG TIME. Oh yes, I remember...because Ashley came from Oregon...and in Oregon you dont pump your own gas so there she sat..waiting for a good long time for someone to pump her gas. I was pulled up waiting for her...I wondered what was taking her so long. But finally..she got herself some gas and we were on our way. We had lots of time waiting in the car...so we were taking pictures of ourselves...heres my car load

After we got to PC we went to the store and stocked up on treats. Never have I had some many treats to choose from! But thats basically what we did the rest of the night... Talked, ate treats and played games. It was awesome.



By the time we got to bed it was about 4 am. And I got to learn how fun Casey is when she doesnt get enough sleep...let me tell you..she is not fun at all. But she got over it. We started the morning getting breakfast/lunch at a place called Squatters. MM MM Good! That place takes a long time to get your food to you...but its worth the wait. I thought their food was delish!


Then off to the Alpine Slide. Or so I thought. When we got up there we (I guess not we...but I went along with it) decided to get tickets to do not only the Alpine slide, but the roller coaster and the zip line. My stomach was in my throat. Im not a thrill seeker AT all. And even thinking about doing the Alpine Slide was giving me anxiety...Lets not add to that that you have to ride the ski lift up. I thought I might die.







Then off to the zip line!! This line didnt look long...but it took FOREVER to get through it. Only two people can go down at a time and it was BLAZING HOT. We were in line for two hours. We had lots of time to get to know the people around us.


I wasn't too nervous until they were putting me into the harness. I felt my legs buckle and I began to shake. I was SURE these teenage kids were not buckling me in right and I was going to be falling to my death. But I made it. And it was awesome. Only one small hang up.....I stopped before the end of the line and they had to get out the safety rope and pull me in...that was a little embarassing...

After we downed a $3 bottle of water we were off to the roller coaster. You got on your own little cart and was able to control how fast or slow you wanted to go down. This was an awesome ride too.





After all that we went shopping a little. But everything was WAY more expensive then our tastes so we went to where our tastes would be appreciated and got some ice cream at cold stone. MM MMM MMMMMMMMMMM

What a great great two days. I loved every minute of it. Thanks Scott for taking care of the kiddos so I could go!!!

Fishin with Grandpa!!

One of our favorite things to do with Scotts side of the family is to go to the fish farm in Payson. They used to keep it up really well. But the guys who owned it died a year or so ago and it just hasnt been kept up that well. Sad to see. But the kids still had a good time.












And the best part about it.....Grandpa was willing to take all the fish home and eat them. EWWWWWWWWWW FISH! YUCK!

Summer Update #2

We took a trip to Parowan to see Scott's nephew be baptized in the same font as his dad was.

It was a fun trip and we got to see the Old Rock Church in Parowan that is a book both Scott and I read. So that was pretty cool.
We also got to see Scotts grandma. She is looking so very good!!! Im so glad. She gave us a great scare in May.


We then stayed the night in Parowan (THANKS TOWNSENDS!) and went to the Parowan Parade for the 4th of July. It was nice to get a small town feel for parades! The kids liked getting all the candy, frisbies, and balloons that grandma brought them!








We then came home and did fireworks with Scotts parents.


My parents came to celebrate the 24th of July and we did fireworks again but I didnt really get any good pictures of that. Dang it!

And Im thinking this is getting a little long for just one post so Im going to break up the rest! Phew.

Ty-ism

Today Ty woke up and told me...

"Mom, last night I had a dream. I dreamed Ben (Scotts brother) had four more kids!!!"

I said, "Wow!!!"

He then replied... "Oh, do you think that was a dream or a nightmare?"

I thought it was so funny.

I guess Ill ask Ben and Nicole what they think.

I just want you out of staters to be jealous...

At what a beautiful place I live in. Im always amazed coming down Provo Canyon just how dang pretty it is!! (ESPECIALLY in the fall). We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. There are so many places to just go and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. I will never leave Utah... how could I with views like this!!!
