My Ty Guy...

Ty celebrated his 6th birthday this last weekend. SIX!? How can that be? He is still such a little tyke and I cant believe that he is actually six. He only weighs about 35 lbs soaking wet. But he is tough!! He is VERY into building his muscles up. He thinks he works out. Even though Chase has just barely passed him up he makes sure that everyone knows he is the bigger brother.
Ty is a smarty pants and he loves loves loves learning. Its so cute to look over at him with his little "nerdy" glasses. I just love him.


For his birthday we went to Chuck E Cheese for some playing and then went to Wingers with my parents for lunch. Later that night we went to the Hendricksen Family Christmas party that Ty thinks was just for him! Thanks Emily for giving him a great birthday party. ;)
I remember the day I had Ty...he was just about to be born and I looked over at Scott and said.. "You are about to be the dad of THREE!" At that moment our lives changed forever. Our first little boy!! I was so excited (as was his dad, of course). He has grown up most of his life with his best friend. They haven't known life without each other. How nice to have a best friend for life. I have one with my sister. All of my other kids are 4 years apart and that has been nice... but theres something about having these two boys close together..

14 years ago...

I became a mom! I am so blessed to have an awesome daughter like Jentry. She seriously makes being a mom easy! She is such a great helper! She is also a great babysitter. (Which I thoroughly appreciate!!)She is doing great in school and is way beyond her reading level. (Which she always has been!) I just thought I'd write up a few things that Jentry is into this year.
1. Zebra print. She loves it. Her whole room is one big zebra. So is a lot of her outfits. If she could be a zebra, I think she would.
2. Boys. Though not one specifically. Which I am all for! Have LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of boyfriends...just stay away from having one!
3. Music. She is still in love with Taylor Swift. But she is also into all different kids of music.
4. Friends. She's one popular girl! Though, I think her cousins will always be her best friends.
5. Sleeping. She loves to go to bed early and sleep in late. Her mom will let her sleep in late...her dad wont.

Looking at that list...Shes a typical teenager. And I love that girl!

Her favorite foods are Pringles, sour patch kids, salads with lots of ranch, and shredded bbq chicken sandwiches.

She hates anything on her plate to touch. (That makes me laugh)

She hates onions, whip cream, pizza and anything she doesnt know the ingredients of (she will pick through her food to make sure she knows what everything is before she eats it.)

She makes me laugh daily. Sometimes thats a good thing...sometimes not. But she is one funny girl! I love you Jentry Anne!

Disneyland 2011

Well Scott's sister did it again....she talked us (ok, Scott...I need no "talking into) into going to Disneyland for Fall Break. We had a great time!!! We only were able to stay three days in the park this time...but it actually was just right. The weather was a little cool in the mornings and perfect the rest of the time! Wednesday the kids played hookie and didn't go to school. I drove them all down to Parowan where we waited for Scott and my brother in law, Greg to show up after they were done with work. And then we were off! We made it to CA around 10:30 pm. Not too late. We were up and at 'em early in the morning.


The park was decorated for Halloween. It looked awesome!


We let the kids get one thing each. Brinley got her hat she wanted with her name on the back.


The boys got to make their own light sabers

And Jentry got a Tower of Terror shirt...that I did not get a picture of. Whoops, sorry.


We did the "Trick or Treating" with Mickey Mouse. That's where they close the park down at 7 and you have to buy different tickets. You dress up and go around to different trick or treat stations and they give you LOADS ( and I do mean LOADS) of candy. It was nice because there wasn't a ton of people there so you basically walked onto the rides. Except for the Haunted House...I think EVERYONE wanted to go to that) But we went on a few rides over and over again. Didn't even have to get off of them. Just stayed on and went again. The boys konked out half way through so we went back to our hotel. But they also had dance parties with the characters and lots of things going on.



The next day was Saturday and I think every person in Utah and California went to Disneyland that day. WOWZERS! It was our Magic Morning so we got to go in earlier and get done all the rides we wanted so that afternoon we went back to the hotel and did some swimming and resting (For Scott)

It was a great vacation...but Scott wont be doing that again, anytime soon. We have Disneylanded that boy OUT!

St George

For Scott's parents anniversary they treated all of the kids to a trip to St George. (They were married in the St George Temple) We had a great time! The girls got to go down a day early and go to the Tuachaun and see The Little Mermaid. It was amazing. The girls really loved it!!! I didn't bring my camera. So all I have are iPhone pictures. Which don't turn out well in the dark. But you get the idea...




When we first got to our hotel I told the girls that it was ok to jump on the beds. They thought that was awesome. Brinley said, "Dad would NEVER have let us do this." Score for Mom!!!




When the boys finally showed up we had a fun time swimming and going out to eat.





We also had family pictures at the temple.





The next day we headed to Cedar City to celebrate Scott's grandma's 85th birthday.



We did some more family pictures and headed on our way home.


Scott's grandma had an open house that night that I hear went really well. We were sad to have missed it but the kids were beyond ready to go home and I know they wouldn't have lasted! It was a GREAT weekend getaway!

My Bro Got Himself Hitched

I cant believe it. My "little" brother...married.

Todd married Melissa on August 29 in Alpine, Utah.

Everything turned out awesome! Im so glad to have a new "sister" and a cute little neice and nephew!!! Our family has about doubled this last year!! I love it.

Ty's First Day of School

I cannot believe it...I have THREE in school. For so many years Ive been saying.. "When the boys are in school..." and now here we are... Ty is loving Kindergarten. He has a great teacher and he can't wait to go every day! He is super smart and is doing great!! His favorite part of school is... you guessed it, recess.

Chase has done REALLY well with Ty gone. I didn't think that would be the case. But he just does puzzles or plays and waits for Ty to come home.

Aw Man, I almost forgot...

Ty learned how to ride his bike without training wheels this summer. He thinks he is pretty hot stuff! He rides his bike home from school now and he is getting faster and faster at it.
